Margate is home base. The round runs through the seafront and the Old Town, out to Cliftonville and Palm Bay, and along the coast to Westbrook, Garlinge and Birchington. Three different settings, three different sets of camera and Wi-Fi problems.
The core round. Margate's Old Town is a close-packed cobbled quarter of arts and antiques shops, cable runs and external fixings need a lighter touch here than on a modern estate. Along the seafront itself, grand Victorian and Edwardian terraces have mostly been split into flats and guesthouses, several floors sharing one entrance, so a camera or doorbell has to be angled to cover your own door, not the shared hallway.
Margate's eastern flank, grand Victorian squares and seafront hotels turned into flats, plus a run of quieter residential streets further back from the sea. Salt air off the Channel shortens the life of budget camera housings fast here, and shared-entrance terraces are the norm rather than the exception.
A short drive west along the coast, covered as a standard part of the round. Mostly detached and semi-detached housing with generous gardens, a different job profile to Margate's terraces.
Our standard round runs from Margate out to Cliftonville, Palm Bay, Westbrook, Garlinge and Birchington-on-Sea, comfortably covering CT9 and CT7. Anything further out (towards Ramsgate or Canterbury) we will take on request, travel time will show in the quote. If you are inside the area above, we are your local installer.
